Richard J. Conner

Richard J. Conner, age 63 of Chambersburg, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Chambersburg Hospital. He was born Friday, May 7, 1954 in Johnstown, a child of the late Curtis and Ora (Lohr) Conner. He was employed for over 30 years at Penelec in Johnstown as a draftsman. Most recently he was employed at Lowe's in Chambersburg, designing kitchens for homes in the area. He loved working with his hands and could fix anything that was broken. Richard liked watching Nascar and loved watching Science Fiction movies and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by all that knew him. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Donna (Nugent) Conner, children, Jennifer Saintz (Larry) of Shippensburg and Richard A. Conner (Amber) of Waynesboro and grandchildren, Wesley, Wyatt, and Wade. He is also survived by his brother, Melvin Conner (Cindy) of Holsopple and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Curtis “Sonny” Conner, Jr., Ora “June” Nugent, Winfred S. “Fred” Conner and Linda C. Adams. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Services will be held at the discretion of the family.
