Richard "Dick" Laurence Bowermaster

Richard “Dick” Laurence Bowermaster, age 67, of Shippensburg, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Chambersburg Hospital. He was born September 16, 1957 in Carlisle, the child of the late Edward Ward and Ruth (Goodhart) Bowermaster.

Dick graduated in the Class of 1975 Big Spring High School. After high school, Dick worked at many places in the area including; Kinney Shoe, Groff’s, Robin’s Flowers, Peterman’s, A&A and R&W. He most recently worked at a mechanic for Righi Garage for a couple years. Dick also owned Oyster Springs Shooters, an online gun and ammo store. He was a member of the NRA.

Dick is survived by his brother, Mike Goodhart and his wife, Kay of Shippensburg; sister, Susan (Bowermaster) Lynch of Shippensburg; nephew, Eric Lynch; two nieces, Heidi Lynch-Dutrow and Becky Goodhart; sister-in-law, Brenda Eppley; brother-in-law, David Lynch and his beloved cats, Bud and Crumb. In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his wife who passed in 2022, Cynthia (Eppley) Bowermaster and his niece, Meghan Eppley.
