Richard K. Falk

Richard K. Falk, age 87 of Elizabethtown, formerly of Aspers, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Hershey Medical Center. He was born Tuesday, February 5, 1929 in Harrisburg the son of the late Herman W. and Margaret (Zimmerman) Falk. Dick graduated from John Harris High School in 1947. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business from Elizabethtown College. He was formerly employed by Central Soya, now ADM in Camp Hill for close to 40 years. He was a member of the F. and A. Masonic Robert Burns Lodge of Harrisburg and the American Legion. Dick grew up in the Shipoke area of Harrisburg. He was signed to play baseball with the St. Louis Cardinals and played until he was drafted for the Korean War. Golfing, baseball and all sports were his true passions. His greatest passion was his family. He served as a Sgt. in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He then entered the Army Reserves as a second Lieutenant, where he attained the rank of First Lieutenant, after two years of service. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lucy (Baugher) Falk. He is also survived by two daughters: Kathleen F. and husband David R. Trone of Aspers, Dr. Melissa F. and husband Arthur C. Stephens of Elizabethtown, five grandchildren, Samuel D. Trone and fiance Alexa Signore, Abbie C. Trone and her husband Lucas Csovelak, Thomas J. Stephens, Matthew A. Stephens and Scott J. Stephens. He was preceded in death by his son Richard B. Falk and brother Herman W. Falk. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 8, 2016 at Christ Lutheran Church, 1420 Center Mills Road, Aspers with Reverend Dr. Galen Russell, III officiating. Interment will be in Bendersville Cemetery. In keeping with the family's wishes for no flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Leukemia Lymphoma Society Central Pennsylvania Chapter, 800 Corporate Circle, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
