Richard Harold Faust Sr.

Richard "Dick" Harold Faust Sr, 90, passed away October 21, 2025 at home peacefully. He was born on May 17, 1935 in Antrim township.

His parents were John Faust and Esther Davis.

He went to Clay Hill School but went to work at 12 years old with Howard and Grace Mellot in Mercersburg on their farm. He was a hardworking man who always put everyone's needs before his. He instilled good work ethics in his children. He served his country proudly in the United States Army.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan; son, John (Jack) Faust; and granddaughter Jennifer Faust. Also, his brothers, Bill Leon, Joe, and Harvey; and five sisters, Helen Mae, Linda, Lucille, Mary Ann, and Arlene.

He is survived by son, Richard Faust Jr. and daughter Karen Horton and her husband, Tony; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren; and one sister, Shirley Wagaman.

Dick worked at Grove MFG and Schadd detective agency. He enjoyed gardening and lawncare. He enjoyed watching the Dodgers and Ravens and women's softball. He was a member of Chambersburg Grandpoint Church and enjoyed being a greeter for many years.

Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral & Cremation, Ltd., 51 Asper Drive in Shippensburg. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Chambersburg Grandpoint Church, 2230 Grand Point Road in Chambersburg. A visitation of family and friends will be held at 10:30 AM prior to the service. The family invites everyone for a luncheon after the service.
