Richard Thomas Fox, Jr., age 77 of Arendtsville, passed away February 8, 2025 at Gettysburg Hospital. He was born July 28, 1947 in Hershey to the late Richard Thomas Fox, Sr. and Alice (Gordon) Fox.
Richard held a degree in Electrical Engineering and worked for PP&L. He was a ski instructor for Ski Roundtop, a commercial hot air balloon pilot, and an actor portraying Ben Franklin in many movies. He loved doing reenacting with the Muskets of the Crown. MOC is a reenactment group that portrays highland soldiers during the War of Independence and the French & Indian War. He was a real Celtic warrior, with a mischievous smile, witty sense of humor, many talents and diverse interests. He loved the beach, his family and his many friends. He was also past president of the East Berlin Preservation Society, and a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Hershey, PA.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jane M. (Weigand) Fox; brother, Robert Fox of Gainesville, FL; nieces, April Setlik and husband, Brian and Megan Pfautz and husband, Kevin; nephew, Adam Weigand and wife, Eryn; three great-nieces and three great-nephews; goddaughter, Amanda Rogers, and many Fox cousins.
Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 S. Main Street, Bendersville, where a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 11:00am. A Visitation will take place from 10-11:00 am and Reverend David Biser will officiate the service. Following the service, there will be a gathering at Redmans Hall, 332 W. King Street, East Berlin. Interment will be at a later date.
