Richard F. Helm

Richard F. Helm, age 89 of Biglerville, passed away Friday, December 10, 2021 at his home. He was born Thursday, May 6, 1932 in Waynesboro, the son of the late Frank and Mary C. (Miller) Helm. Dick was formerly employed by Dal-Tile. He had also been employed at H. C. Gabler Trucking and Pfaltzgraff. He was a member of Ira E. Lady American Legion Post 226 in Biglerville and Shoshonean Gun Club. He served in the US Army from 1952 to 1954 during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Marie I. (Showers) Helm. He is also survived by two daughters, Donna Wilt of Gettysburg, Debbie M. Helm of Newport, two sons: Duane R. and wife Nanette Helm of Gettysburg, Dan A. and wife Stephanie Helm of Aspers, and eight grandchildren. He was one of twelve children. He was preceded in death by his son David Helm in 2012. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. At his request, there will be no services.
