Richard C. Kelley, Sr.

Richard C. Kelley, Sr., age 82 of Chambersburg, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Chambersburg Hospital. He was born Saturday, April 21, 1934 in Mainsville, the son of Anna B. (Helm) Kelley of Chambersburg and the late Jesse Kelley. Richard was formerly employed by Borough of Shippensburg Water Department for 45 years. In addition to working for the borough, he operated a dairy for at least 20 years in Mt. Rock. He attended Newburg First Church of God. His wife, Thelma J. Kelley passed away in 2013. He is survived by two daughters, Pamela J. Miley of Chambersburg, Tricia A.M. and husband Michael Richardson of Orrstown, one son, Richard C. Jr. and wife Deb Kelley of Orrstown, four grandchildren, Angela Kelley, Joshua Kelley, Nadine Christie, Te'hayenish (Rosebud) Richardson, two great-grandchildren, Brett Pukavige and Madyson Christie and two sisters, Shirley Jones of Shippensburg and Betty Wadel of Shippensburg. He was preceded in death by one brother Glen Kelley and one great-grandson Bryce Pukavige. He will be greatly missed by his Beagle, Daisy. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg. Services will be held at the discretion of the family.
