Richard N. Kern, Jr., age 58 of Fairfield, died Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at his home. He was born Monday, September 12, 1955 in Silver Spring, MD, the son of the late Richard N. and Dolores M. (Mitchell) Kern. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, M. Eileen (Brehany) Kern. He is also survived by a daughter, Hannah D. Kern, Philadelphia, four sons, Matthew J. Kern, Gettysburg, Jacob A. Kern, Fairfield, Joshua D. Kern, Gettysburg, Samuel L. Kern, Fairfield, a sister, Connie Kern, Charlotte, NC and four brothers, Robert Kern, Germantown, MD, Joseph Kern, Richmond, John Kern, Baltimore and Eric Kern, Laurel, MD.
