Richard Robert Snyder

Richard R. Snyder, age 79 of Gardners, died Monday, July 11, 2011 at his home. He was born Tuesday, February 9, 1932 in Gardners, a son of the late Robert G. and Marvel (McCauslin) Snyder. Richard graduated from Biglerville High School. Hewas employed by Knouse Foods for many years as the mail delivery truck driver. His wife Dorothy L. (Rohrer) Snyder died in 1999. He is survived by his daughter, Krista Snyder, Gardners, three sons: Richard A. Snyder, Gardners, Randy D. Snyder, Carlisle, Kevin W. Snyder, Gardners; a sister, Phyllis Hershey, Bendersville; and a brother, Keith Snyder, Gardners. He was preceded in death by brothers: Kenneth and Donald Snyder. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, July 15 at Dugan Funeral Home with Reverend James R. Speelman officiating. Interment will be in Wenksville Cemetery. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, July 14 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Lutheran Home Care Hospice, 206 W. High Street, Gettysburg, PA 17325.
