Ricky Lee Dietrich

Ricky “Rick” Lee Dietrich, age 54, of Carlisle, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at UPMC Carlisle Regional Medical Center in Carlisle. He was born December 22, 1969 in Harrisburg, the child of the late George and Florence Dietrich.

Ricky graduated from High School. He most recently worked at the American Legion Post 223 for many years, where he was an honorary member and enjoyed being a part of that community. He attended church at Claremont Nursing and Rehab Center regularly.

In his spare time, Ricky enjoyed drawing, coloring, painting, gardening and listening to country music. He also liked going to tractor pulls and fairs and working on engines and lawn mowers. He really loved animals and being outdoors. He was known to many who knew him for his positive attitude and sense of humor. He will be missed by all of his co-workers and friends from the American Legion, nurses at Chambersburg Hospital and staff at Claremont Nursing and Rehab in Carlisle.

Ricky is survived by his uncle, Thomas Dietrich and his support team from Cumberland Perry MH/IDD, CPARC, Chambersburg Hospital and Claremont Nursing and Rehab. In addition to his parents, Ricky was preceded in death by his step-mom, Nancy Dietrich.

Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg, PA 17257, with Pastor Sylvia Beard officiating. A Public Viewing will be held on Friday from 11:00 AM until the time of services at the funeral home. Ricky will be laid to rest in Westminster Cemetery at a later date.
