Robert "Bob" C. Black, age 73 of Shippensburg, went home to be with our Lord and Savior while surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, July 2, 2017. He was born on Wednesday, July 21, 1943 in Carlisle, the son of the late Charles H. Black Blance (Brantner) Black. Bob attended Chambersburg School District. He drove trucks for various petroleum companies throughout his career until retiring in 2010. He attended the First Pentecostal Church of Chambersburg. Bob enjoyed collecting antique cars and memorabilia. He had a love for John Deere tractors, raising cows, hunting, and spending time with friends and family. In addition to his wife of 39 years, Delores "Dee" K. (Hammond) Black, Bob is survived by his son, Todd E. (Amanda) Black of Chambersburg, and four grandchildren, Alexandra , Todd Jr., Raeann, and Eli, seven siblings, Clair Stoops (Relda), John Black (Jean), Don Black (Mary), James Black (Lisa), Dori Diehl (Jim), Charles Black (Stacy), and Denver Black (Karen) and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Bob also had a special place in his heart for his beloved Siamese Cats, Tinker Bell, Sugar Babe and his dog, Trixie. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 7, 2017 at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg, with Reverend Phyllis J. Martin officiating. A viewing will held at the funeral home at 10:00 AM until time of services. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bob's Memory, may be made to Grane Hospice Care, 4 Lemoyne Drive, Suite 201, Lemoyne, PA 17043 or First Pentecostal Church of Chambersburg, 2365 Molly Pitcher Highway, Chambersburg, PA 17202. The family would like to thank his caregiver, Alice Chamberlin for the wonderful love and support shown to Bob during the last few months.
