Robert D. Smith

Robert D. Smith, age 63 of Shippensburg, died December 29, 2021 at home. Born February 8, 1958 in Lincoln, NE, he was a son of the late James Smith and Sharon (Golden) Six. Robert was a US Army Veteran, a forklift driver for Ames TrueTemper in Carlisle and coached volleyball at Cedar Cliff High School and West Shore YMCA. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Ann M. (Bisso) Smith of Shippensburg, daughters; Candice Orr of Dillsburg and Jennifer Smith of Shippensburg; grandchildren, Alyssa Shindel and Owen Orr, both of Dillsburg; brother, Mitchell Smith of Brazil; sister, Theresa Russell of Lincoln, NE, half- brother, Dennis Smith of South Dakota and nephew, Derick Smith of Camp Hill. Robert was preceded in death by his sister, Cherie Smith and uncle, Bernie Golden. Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Drive Shippensburg. At the request of the family, there will be no viewing or services.
