Robert I. Brough, Sr.

Robert I. Brough, Sr., 85, Aspers died Wednesday, May 30, 2012. He was born Thursday, July 22, 1926 in Menallen Township, Adams County, the son of the late John Edward and Ellen G. (Culp) Brough. Robert graduated from Biglerville High School in 1944. He was a graduate of Gettysburg College with a B.S. in Chemistry. He was formerly employed by Knouse Foods and the former C.H. Musselman Co. for many years. He was a member of the VFW in East Berlin, American Legion Post 262 in Biglerville, Academy of Model Aeronautics, and NRA. He served in the US Navy in the Pacific Theatre during WWII. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Doris (Baugher) Brough. He is also survived by a daughter, Ann L. Melchiorre of Cape May Court House, NJ, four sons: John A. Brough of Indian Head, MD, Robert I. Brough, Jr.of Gettysburg, Ken C. Brough of Cortland, OH and Steve A. Brough of Gardners; one siste,r Doris E. Brough of Gettysburg, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Memorial Services will be held Thursday, June 7 at 11:00 AM at Dugan Funeral Home with Reverend Bruce Henneman officiating. Interment will be in Bendersville Cemetery.
