Robert L. Kuhn, Sr.

Robert L. Kuhn, Sr. age 83 of Gettysburg died Sunday, April 28, 2013 at Hanover Hospital. He was born Monday, March 24, 1930 in Kingsdale, the son of the late Glenn G. and Blanche I (Crushong) Pittman. Robert's life was driving truck which he did for almost 66 years. He retired from Transtech Leasing in Middletown, PA. He enjoyed going to Florida, playing bingo and especially his dog, Tator. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War.He received a Purple Heart for injuries he sustained in the war. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Ruth D. (Bartlett) Kuhn. He is also survived by five daughters: Doris M. and husband Danny Walker, Sr. of Windsor, Deb A. and husband Marlin Kuhn of Gardners, Belinda K. and husband Joel Redding of Aspers, Susan I. Kuhn of Biglerville, Connie R. and husband Jorge Carabjal of Gettysburg; five sons: Robert L. and wife Maureen Kuhn, Jr. of Gettysburg, Michael E. and wife Jillian Kuhn of York Springs, G. Joe and wife Deb Kuhn York Springs, James R. and wife Kristine Dupler of East Berlin, Anthony L. Forsythe of Washington; and one surviving sister, Rosella M. Chronister of Hanover; 26 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Terry A. Kuhn and one brother, George Pittman. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, May 2 at Dugan Funeral Home with Reverend Carl Harris officiating. Interment will be in Marburg Memorial Gardens in Hanover. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 1 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Skills of PA, 2 Ditzler Avenue, Biglerville, PA 17307.
