Robert L. Mccleaf, Jr.

Robert L. McCleaf, Jr., age 86 of Biglerville, passed away Monday, July 24, 2017 at his home. He was born Wednesday, June 10, 1931 in Menallen Twp., Adams Co. the son of the late Robert L. Sr. and Catherine (Taylor) McCleaf. Bob attended Biglerville High School. He was formerly employed by Knouse Foods and C.H. Musselman Co. in Biglerville for many years. He was a member of Benders Lutheran Church, Good Samaritan Lodge F AM #336 and Harrisburg Consistory and Scottish Rite. Bob enjoyed the outdoors which included hunting, fishing, crabbing and gardening. He served in the US Army as a medic during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Betty E. (Sheppard) McCleaf. He is also survived by one daughter, Sandra L. and husband Mike Murray of Chambersburg, one grandson, Joshua C. and wife Jessica Murray of Orrstown, one brother Richard McCleaf of Aspers and one sister Tonya Taylor of Aspers. He was preceded in death by his sister Marion Slaybaugh and brother William McCleaf. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., Bendersville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 S. Main Street, Bendersville with Reverend Ben Leese officiating. Interment will be in Biglerville Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Saturday from 10:00 AM until time of services. Masonic services will be held at 10:30 AM.
