Robert W. Lemmons, age 51, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 4, 2021 at Chambersburg Hospital. He was born January 12, 1969 in Princeton, Indiana to the late William Grant Lemmons. Robert graduated in the Class of 1988 from Princeton Community High School in Indiana. He proudly served for six years in the US Army and held the honorable title of RA for voluntarily enlisting and SPC for Army Specialist in artillery repair. He served in several combat tours including Desert Storm and the Bosnian War. Robert was awarded the Army Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, Rifle Sharpshooter Badge, Army Achievement Medal with three oak leaf clusters, and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization Medal for serving in Bosnia. While his military accomplishments were his proudest moments, he was even more proud to be a father. Robert is survived by his three loving children, Jennifer Lemmons and boyfriend Jason Gilbert of Maryland, and Michael and Karl Lemmons of Waynesboro. Professional Services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Memorial Services will be at the discretion of the family.
