Robert G Reecher

Robert G. Reecher, 71, of Gettysburg, PA passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at the Laurel Lakes Nursing & Rehab Center.

Robert was born April 17, 1955 in Gettysburg, PA, the son of the late Norman G. Reecher and Kathryn E. (Baker) Reecher. He married Deborah J. (Plank) Reecher; she survives.

Robert was a l973 graduate of Gettysburg High School. He retired from Crouse Ford where he was employed in parts sales. He was a lifetime member of the Gettysburg Fire Department and served as a trustee for many years. He received the Eugene S. Sickle Award in 2020.

He loved the time he spent riding his Honda motorcycle, and trips he took to Lancaster, PA. He enjoyed watching for hawks. His special joy was time spent with his family and his two step-granddaughters.

In addition to his wife, Deborah J. Reecher, he is survived by two sons, Nathan Reecher and Kyle Reecher both of Gettysburg, PA; two step-sons, Donald Wagaman of Altoona, PA and Jason Wagaman of Gettysburg, PA; two step-granddaughters Ashley Wagaman and Alexzandra Wagaman; two brothers David Reecher (Brenda) of Gettysburg, PA and Keith Reecher (Shelley) of Cashtown, PA, and by several nieces and nephews.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
