Robert W. Jacoby, Sr.

Robert W. Jacoby, Sr., age 61 of Biglerville, died Wednesday, May 8, 2013. He was born Friday, June 22, 1951 in Gettysburg, the son of Maybelle (Black) Jacoby of Gettysburg and the late Earl L. Jacoby, Sr. Robert was employed by Knouse Foods, Inc. in Biglerville for over 40 years. He enjoyed painting scenery on many different items. He enjoyed dirt track racing and NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sherry L. (Oller) Jacoby. He is also survived by one daughter, Barbi A. and husband Kurt Heller of Biglerville; one son, Robert W. Jacoby, Jr. and companion Kristi Asper of Biglerville; five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and three sisters: Debra Daley of McConnellsburg, Roxy Ramsey of Chambersburg, Betty Jacoby of Gettysburg; five brothers: Earl L. Jacoby Jr. of New Oxford, Michael J. Jacoby of Biglerville, John Jacoby of Gettysburg, Dave Jacoby of New Oxford, Gene Jacoby, Sr. of East Berlin; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Amy J. Jacoby who passed in 1975 and one brother, Jeff Jacoby. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Memorial Services will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 16 at Dugan Funeral Home with Reverend Robert Gray officiating.
