Roger L. Smack

Roger L. Smack, age 80, of Shippensburg, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Chambersburg Hospital. He was born Thursday, May 20, 1943 in Salisbury, MD, the son of the late Glen L. and Mattie Louise (Birch) Smack.

Roger graduated from Steven Decatur High School in Berlin, MD in 1961. He owned and operated by R Smack Auto Body and Truck in Pittsville, MD for 36 years. He worked for Dresser Industries and also Bayliner Boats in Salisbury. He served as a Petty Officer in US Navy during the Bay of Pigs.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Brenda (Taylor) Smack. He is also survived by his daughter, Mary Angela Wolabaugh of Shippensburg, two sons, Curtis Reese Smack of Willards, MD and Brian David Smack of Chambersburg, three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Glenda L. Smack.
