Ronald Eugene Wible, age 73, of Shippensburg, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Chambersburg Hospital. He was born Sunday, February 27, 1944 in Delaware County, a son of Betty (Locke) Tarner and the late Donald Wible. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam. He later transferred to the U.S. Air Force where he retired with the rank of Master Sergeant after 39 years of combined service. He was attached to 193rd Special Operations Wing. He was a part of the Delaware Nation Tribe. He enjoyed participating in pow-wows and being outdoors. He loved hunting and taking family trips to Tennessee. He was a volunteer at the Greenvillage Restaurant "Cruz-In" Car show, fundraising for local causes. He was a lifetime member of the LSL Sportsmen's Club. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and past patron of the Order of the Eastern Star. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Lucinda (Heckman) Wible, children, Ronda Coy, Michelle Wolford, Terry Kennedy, and Matthew Kennedy, seven grandchildren, Tyler, Colby, Torie, Courtney, Justin, Portia, and Bowen, and brother, Terry Wible. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia (Hammond) Wible. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. A viewing will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Saturday, September 9 at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 10 at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory with Reverend Dr. Francis Norton officiating. Military honors provided by American Legion Post #223 will be conducted at the funeral home.
