Roscoe L. Myers

Roscoe L. Myers, age 72 of Aspers, passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017 at his home with his family by his side. He was born Monday, May 7, 1945 in Millerstown, Perry County, the son of the late Roscoe P. Myers and Betty (Swartz) MyersMurphy. Roscoe was formerly employed by Hempt Bros., Inc. in Camp Hill for 50 years. He attended Wenksville United Methodist Church where he was very active. His favorite hobbies included hunting, fishing and golfing. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Diane E. (Black) Myers. He is also survived by his daughter, Sara B. Myers of Aspers and her fiance'. Frank Blemler III and a sister, Mary Jane and husband James Nearhood of Blain. His son, John Ross Myers passed away May 15, 1999. Roscoe was also preceded in death by sisters, Patricia Mumper and Helen Hollenbaugh and brother, Robert Myers, Sr. The family thanks his special caregiver, Barb McCauslin. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, June 15 at Wenksville United Methodist Church, 2010 Wenksville Road, Biglerville with Reverend Rick Robinson officiating. Interment will be in Wenksville Cemetery. A viewing will be held at Dugan Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 14 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and at the church on Thursday from 12:00 PM until time of services.
