Rosetta "Rose" K. Weyant, age 57 of Gardners, where she lived with her sister, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Gettysburg Hospital. She was born Sunday, January 14, 1962 in Gettysburg, the daughter of the late Charles D. Sr. and Mary E. (Speelman) Kauffman. Rose graduated from Biglerville High School in 1982. She was formerly employed by Dal-Tile for almost 25 years. She then worked for Knouse Foods for several years. She was a member of Ira E. Lady American Legion Post 262 in Biglerville. She enjoyed spending time with her son Shane and his children, family and friends. She will be greatly missed by her friends Stan Turner and Troy. She was very close to her great-great-niece, Kinsley and great-great-nephew Isaiah. She was especially fond of her nephew Adam. She also enjoyed fishing and camping. She was an honest and fun loving woman. She got along with everyone and was loved by many. She loved animals of all types, but mostly dogs. Her fur baby, Little Bear, was her pride and joy and he passed in June of 2018. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her. She was an angel in disguise. She is survived by one son, Shane D. Stringer of Biglerville, two grandchildren, Lorilia and Katelyn Stringer of Biglerville, two step-grandchildren Alexis and Landon Varner of Biglerville, five sisters, Nancy Kniss of Arendtsville, Martha (Marty) Reed of Gettysburg, Deb M. Altice of Gardners, twin sister Loretta (Fay) Lee and husband Brian of Burlington, NC, Phyllis Bolen and husband Don of York, two brothers, Theodore (Bob) Kauffman of Gettysburg, and Clair Kauffman of Linnwood. She was preceded in death by her three sisters, Mary, Joan and Jean Kauffman and three brothers, Richard Speelman, Raymond (Rusty) Speelman and Charles Kauffman, Jr. Cremation services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. A memorial gathering will be held Sunday, March 31 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Ira E. Lady American Legion Post 262, 142 Fourth St., Biglerville.
