Ruby L. Koontz

Ruby L. Koontz, age 86, of Biglerville died Friday, March 2, 2012 at York Hospital with her husband and son by her bedside. She was born on Tuesday, December 1, 1925 in East Pennsboro Township, Cumberland County, the daughter of the late Haroldand Stella (Hartman) Houser. Ruby graduated from Enola High School in 1943. She was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband G. Russell Koontz to whom she was married for 63 years. She is also survived by her son, Barry L. Koontz of Gettysburg and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother, H. Robert Houser and three sisters: Florence Wisegarver, Mary Gamber, and Mildred Walters. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main St., Bendersville. Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., Bendersville. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:00 AM until time of services.
