Russell L. Frankenfield

Russell L. Frankenfield, age 92 of Heidlersburg, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, June 4, 2018 at his home. He was born Friday, May 21, 1926 in Mountain Top, PA, the son of the late Bruce and Mildred (Warner) Frankenfield. Russell owned and operated Frankenfield’s Auto Sales in Heidlersburg for many years. He served in the US Army during WW II as a tank driver and machine gunner. He was in Company B, 735th Tank Battalion. His wife Verna M. Frankenfield passed away in 2014. He is survived by one daughter, Elaine C. and husband Rev. Michael Mays of Heidlersburg, two sons, William B. Frankenfield and companion Melva Bupp of Gardners, David M. and wife Susan Frankenfield of Gettysburg, eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, one brother, Edward J. Frankenfield of York Springs, He was preceded in death by a son, Wayne R. Frankenfield. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Services will be private per Russell’s request by his son-in-law, Rev. Michael Mays.
