Russell D. Starner, Sr., age 63 of Shippensburg, passed away Friday, July 11, 2014 at his home. He was born Thursday, September 28, 1950 in Carlisle, the son of the late Russell S. and Evelyn (Kuhn) Starner. Russell graduated from Boiling Springs High School in 1969. He was formerly employed by US Express as a diesel mechanic for several years. He had also worked for Cressler Trucking for many years. He attended Shippensburg First Church of God. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Cathy D. (Penner) Starner. He is also survived by a daughter, Nicole and husband Bradley Weller of Shippensburg, three sons, William Starner, Russell D. Starner, Jr. and Eric and wife Kim Starner all of Carlisle; a grandson, Pap's Buddy Braedyn Weller; two granddaughters,Tiffany Baker of Newville and Elsie Starner of Carlisle; two great-granddaughters, Avah Orth and Lilah Baker and two sisters, Betty Kluck and Linda Shirley, both of Mount Holly Springs. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Starner. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Memorial services will be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, July 15 at Shippensburg First Church of God, 121 E. King Street, Shippensburg with Reverend William Myers officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until time of services. Private interment will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to The Harbor, P.O.
