Russell E. Swearman, Sr.

Russell E. Swearman, Sr., age 77 formerly of Biglerville, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Golden Living. He was born Friday, June 3, 1938 in Somerset the son of the late Edgar W. and Anna K. (Shultz) Swearman. Russell was formerly employed by Duffy Mott Company, Cadbury Beverages for 35 years. He enjoyed John Deere tractors and H.O. scale trains. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. Russell enjoyed the many visits of his friends and church family who came and read the Bible to him. He was very fond of the caretakers at Golden Living calling some of them "my girl". He is survived by two daughters: Rose M.Swearman of Aspers, Cindy S. and husband Tom Quisenberry of Aspers, one son, Russell E. Swearman, Jr. of Biglerville, nine grandchildren: Patrick Crawford, Daniel Crawford, Ashlee Crawford Wolfgang, Harley Swearman, Jacob Showers, Kristen Quisenberry Shipe, Morgan Quisenberry, Angela Swearman, and Laura Swearman, five great-grandchildren, one sister, Joyce M. Topper of East Berlin,two brothers, Edgar W. Swearman Jr., of Biglerville, Robert Swearman of East Berlin and several nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by a brother, Elwood Swearman. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, March 24 at Dugan Funeral Home with Pastor Todd McCauslin officiating. Interment will be in Bendersville Cemetery.
