Ruth S. Mawyer

Ruth S. Mawyer, age 102, of Carlisle formerly of Aspers died Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Claremont Nursing and Rehab in Carlisle. She was born Sunday, October 25, 1908 in Biglerville, the daughter of the late Emory E. and Phoebe J. (Crum) Shetter. She was formerly employed by Cumberland County Nursing Home for 26 years. She was a member ofChurch of God of Carlisle. Ruth loved to travel and to listen to gospel music. She is survived byher nephew, Robert E. Shetter of Dillsburg; many cousins, faithful friends, Joyce Lopp of Newville and Ruth Ellen Shenk of Carlisle. She was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 21 at Dugan Funeral Home with the Reverend Robert Myers officiating. Interment will be in Cline's Church Cemetery, Gardners. A viewing will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until time of services. Memorial contributions may be made to Carlisle Church of God, 258 N. College Street, Carlisle, PA 17013.
