Ruth S. Weaver

Ruth S. Weaver, age 93 of Chambersburg, passed away on Saturday,February 22, 2014 at Falling Spring Nursing Home. Ruth was born on Sunday, April 25, 1920 in Chambersburg, the daughter of the late Alvey and Anna (Mummert) Summers. Ruth was a homemaker for 67 years. She was the loving wife of (William) W. D. Weaver who died in November of 2008. Ruth is survived by two granddaughters, Valerie L. Merriman (Lee) of Chambersburg and Courtney E. Tolbert (Ed Gates) of Lake in the Hills, IL and six great-grandchildren, Kathryn, Isaiah and Jocelyn Merriman and Scarlett, Gavyn and Phoenyx Gates. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her only child; daughter, Bonita W. Tolbert and her sister, Audrey Grove. Care and cremation services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Services will be at the convenience of the family.
