Ruth Arlene Yaggie, age 91, of Shippensburg, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at Chambers Pointe Healthcare Center, Chambersburg. She was born November 18, 1933 in Bloserville, PA, as the daughter of the late Harold F. and Martha V. (Jacobs) Baughman.
Arlene graduated from Carlisle High School, Class of 1951. She helped operate the family owned business, Yaggie’s Garage for 38 years with her husband Warren. She was a member of the Red Hat Society specifically the Red Hot Lady Bugs and Farm Women’s Group. In her spare time, Arlene enjoyed Modern Square & round dancing with her husband, Warren, for over 35 years, where they were challenge level dancers. Arlene also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and card games especially hand & foot as well as enjoyed Mexican train dominos.
Arlene is survived by her loving husband, Warren C. Yaggie, to whom they would have celebrated 68 years together on April 13, 2025; two daughters, Wanda Rowles and her husband, Jackie of Shippensburg and Almea Brown and her husband, Steve of Mercersburg; one son, Michael Yaggie and his wife, Melody of Newville; seven grandchildren, Troy Rowles and his wife, Danielle, Trenton Rowles and his wife, Rebecca, Tricia Bland, Stephanie Manney and her husband, Ron, Dustin Brown and his wife, Denise, Ryan Brown and his wife, Kathy, Rachel Weyant and her husband, Zachary and many loving great-grandchildren as well as great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Arlene was preceded in death by her brothers, Melvin Baughman and Garth Baughman.
Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. A Public Viewing will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 51 Asper Dr. Shippensburg, PA 17257. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 26 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Megan Gustafson officiating. Additional viewing will take place one hour prior to the service. Arlene will be laid to rest at Big Spring Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Newville.
