Sally J. Cree

Sally “Sarah” J. Cree, age 87, of Newville, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Cumberland Crossings in Carlisle. She was born March 6, 1934 in Long Island, New York, the daughter of the late George T. and Eugenia (Springer) Martin. Sally graduated in the Class of 1952 from William Penn High School in Harrisburg. She worked as a registrar for Carlisle Hospital for 25 years. She was a member of Green Spring First Church of God in Newville for most of her life. She loved to shop, eat out, travel, and spend time with her grandchildren. She is survived by three daughters, Linda R. (Walter) Dorty of Shippensburg, Cindy L. (Steve) Failor of Newville, and Holly L. and spouse Carl C. Rebuck, III of Newville; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren and one on the way. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death in 2014 by her loving husband of 60 years, James F. Cree; two brothers, Jack T. Martin and Teddy Martin; and one sister, Joan Madeira. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Private Services will be held by the immediate family. Interment will be in Rolling Green Cemetery in Camp Hill, PA. Contributions may be made in Sally’s memory to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
