Samuel L. Fisher, age 70 of Newville, died Friday, May 24, 2013 at his home. He was born Monday, August 31, 1942 in Kinzers, Lancaster County, the child of the late Elam S. and Florence G. (Byler) Fisher. Samuel owned and operated Blue Mountain Krinkles Soft Pretzels at Jim's Country Market in Chambersburg for 23 years and another pretzel stand in Carlisle some years ago.He also worked at Esh's Country Kitchen. He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Katie (Lapp) Fisher. He is also survived by two daughters: Roseann L. and husband Michael Esh, Newburg, Rhoda L. and husband Emmanuel Byler, Shippensburg; two sons: Raymond L. and wife Wilma Fisher, Newville, Roy L. and wife Melinda Fisher, Loysville; five brothers: Joseph (Mary) Fisher, Newburg, William (Anna) Fisher, Sacrament, PA, Gideon (Barbara) Fisher, Newburg, John (Sadie) Fisher, Paradise, Leroy (Elizabeth) Fisher, Quarryville, Sylvan (Dorothy) Fisher, Hutchinson, KS; sister-in-law, Mary Fisher, Paradise; 16 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews. In addition to his brother, Elam Fisher, Samuel was preceded in death by a sister, Melinda. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Visitations will be held Saturday and Sunday evenings from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at 910 Roxbury Road, Newburg. Funeral Services will be held at 9:00 AM Monday, May 27 at 910 Roxbury Road, Newburg.Interment will be in Blue Mountain Amish Cemetery.
