Samuel J. Toner

Samuel J. Toner, age 71of Gardners, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Manor Care in Carlisle. He was born Thursday, August 19, 1948 in Gettysburg, the son of the late James G. and Arbutus C. (Davis) Toner. Sam was formerly employed by Knouse Foods, Inc. in Gardners for many years. He was a member of Bendersville United Methodist Church. He is survived by one brother, Robert E. and wife, Regina Toner of Aspers, and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, George Toner. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Graveside services were held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 14 in the Bendersville Cemetery with Reverend Melissa Madera officiating.
