Sarah E. Funt

Sarah E. Funt, age 76 of Orrtanna, passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at SpiriTrust Home in Gettysburg. She was born Saturday, January 27, 1940 in Gettysburg the daughter of the late Ralph and Catherine (Sanders) Riley, Sr. Sarah graduated from Delone Catholic High School in 1958. She was formerly employed by Knouse Foods in Orrtanna for 20 years. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Gettysburg, and Fairfield Amvets. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Eugene R. Funt, Sr. She is also survived by her son, David C. and wife Kelly Funt of Gettysburg, a granddaughter, Carlee Funt, two sisters, Jean Rosensteel of Gettysburg, Lynn Ling of Fairfield, four brothers, Dennis Riley, Patrick Riley, Glenn Riley all of Gettysburg and Edward Riley of Orrtanna. She was preceded in death by two sons, Eugene R. Funt, Jr. who passed in 1995 and Allen R. Funt who passed in 1963, a sister, Rita Knouse and a brother, Ralph Riley, Jr. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 22 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 22 W. High Street, Gettysburg with Reverend John Kuchinski officiating.
