Sharon L. Grimes

Sharon L. Grimes, age 53 of Gardners, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at West Shore Hospital in Mechanicsburg. She was born Wednesday, July 1, 1964 in Bowie, MD, daughter of Lorraine (Diehl) VanTassel and the late Oliver M. VanTassel. Sharon graduated from Queen Anne's County High School in 1982. In 1983, she married her high school sweetheart Robert A. Grimes. She worked as a program advisor at CPARC for the last 8 years. Sharon loved helping and mentoring children. She was a former childcare provider and a pre-school teacher at Bethel Christian Academy. Her love and devotion as a wife, mother and grandmother will always be cherished and remembered. She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Robert A. Grimes, daughters, Heather E. Hileman and Tiffany A. Kuhn, grandchildren, Summer, Jonathan, Riley and Alyssa, sisters, Annette Ashe and Donna Bullen. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 31, at The Meeting House, Carlisle Campus, 1155 Walnut Bottom Road, Carlisle, PA 17015 with Reverend Arlene Dunn officiating. Interment will follow in Goodyear Cemetery in Gardners. A viewing will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday at Dugan Funeral Home in Bendersville.
