Shirley Ann Dunkinson passed away peacefully on February 27, 2023 at Carolyn’s House of Hospice of Central Pennsylvania. She was born on April 2, 1935 in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. She spent much of her adult life living in Lancaster and was employed at Ferranti International for many years. Shirley’s greatest joys were her family and her pets. She also enjoyed cross stitching, western novels, and collecting yorkie figurines and gnomes.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, James Radford Dunkinson of Elizabethtown and Ida Mae Dunkinson of Gettysburg, three brothers, Robert of Hanover, Dale of Maryland and Reginald of Hummelstown, a sister, Audrey Rudisill of Gettysburg, a niece, Nila Christine Pritt of Gettysburg, and a nephew, William Dick of Gettysburg. She is survived by nieces and nephews: Robert Dunkinson (Tara) of Arizona, John Dick, Jr. (Margaret) of Hanover, David Dick (Lisa) of Fairfield, Lisa Roscoe of Hummelstown, Diane Jindra of Hanover, Robert E. Dunkinson (Jayne) of Palmyra, and Lori Lagares of Kansas. She is also survived by great-nieces and nephews: Robert N. Dunkinson of Arizona, David Dunkinson (Sandra) of Arizona, William Pritt (Pam) of Biglerville, Adrian Pritt (Jo) of Gardners, Carla Smith of Ortanna, Zane Pritt (Melissa) of Gettysburg, John C. (JC) Dick (Valerie) of Maryland, Shilo Jacoby (Robert) of Hanover, Nila Rebong (Karl) of New York, Joseph Dick of Gettysburg, Stephanie Dick, Michael Dick, Jessica Dick, Christopher Dick, Rebecca Dick-Brooks of Shippensburg, Jennifer Kowalczyk (Robert) of South Carolina, Billie Jo Dick of Camp Hill, Robert Dick of Mt. Holly, Sam Dick of Gettysburg, Seth Dick of Gettysburg, Robert Strawsbaugh of Dallastown, Michelle Strawsbaugh, and Jason Roscoe (Marsha) of Hummelstown; and many other family members.
