Shirley Joe Elliott, Jr.

Shirley Joe Elliott, Jr., age 56 of Gettysburg, passed away suddenly Wednesday, May 13, 2015 in Washington DC. He was born Wednesday, February 25, 1959 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, the son of the late Shirley J. and Naomi (Trammell) Elliott, Sr. Shirley graduated from Ridge High School in Chattanooga. He was employed by Booz Allen Hamilton in Washington DC for the past 6 years. He had previously worked for General Dynamics in Washington DC. He served in the US Air Force for 23 years having achieved the rank of Master SGT. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Myrna Mariana (Murillo) Elliott. He is also survived by a daughter, Mireille (Mimi) M. Elliott of Gettysburg, two step-daughters, Marlene M. Amat and husband, Jimmy Sheppard IIIof Evans, Colorado, Geraldine M. Amat of Greeley, Colorado, step-son, Octavio Amat of Gettysburg, five grandchildren, Natalia Sheppard, Jean Paul Sheppard, Jimmy Sheppard IV, Mariana A. Amat and Tae Amat, two sisters, Becky Holmes of Chattanooga, and Marchell and husband Mike Holder of Stamping Ground, Kentucky, nieces Marilyn Holder and Kisha Payne, nephews, Madison Holder and Victor Haley and great-nephew Gage Haley. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 19 at Dugan Funeral Home. Interment will be in Chattanooga. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until time of services.
