Shirley M. Grove

Shirley M. Grove, age 78 of Chambersburg, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Village of Laurel Run, Fayetteville. She was born Wednesday, December 6, 1939 in Chambersburg, the daughter of the late Charles and Myrtle (Carbaugh) Marshall. Shirley graduated from Chambersburg High School in 1957. She was formerly employed by Letterkenny Army Depot for 31 years. Her husband recalls that she was one of the of better clerk typists on the depot. She enjoyed her family and grandchildren. She was generous to a fault and her love of animals, especially dogs, was her reason to donate to Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter. Elvis Presley was her most favored musician. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Raymond R. Grove. She is also survived by her son, Neal B. and wife Kristine Grove of Chambersburg, two granddaughters, Kaita Perez of Hagerstown and Karli Grove of Chambersburg, and two brothers, Ronald Marshall of Chambersburg and Charles Marshall of Charles Town, WV. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Shippensburg. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, 51 Asper Drive, Shippensburg. Visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:00 PM.
