Shirley D. Shelton

Shirley D. Shelton, age 73, of Greencastle, passed away Friday, February 11, 2022 at Chambersburg Hospital. She was born Tuesday, June 22, 1948 in Portsmouth, Ohio, the daughter of the late Arthur C. and Emma Jean (Williams) Shelton. Shirley was formerly employed by Dept. of Energy, ATF and then FEMA for more than 30 years. She enjoyed gardening and loved flowers. Her greatest joy was being with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by two daughters, Amber M. Whetzel of Greencastle, Crystal R. Long of Gettysburg, son, Lance E. Blickenstaff of Fairfield, five grandchildren, Ashleigh Sanders, Devin Sanders, Austin Whetzel, Alexis Whetzel and Kellan Blickenstaff, two great-grandchildren, Huntley Sanders and Chandler Whetzel, four brothers, Paul Shelton of Martinsburg, WV, Timmy Shelton, Carl Murphy and Phillip Shelton all of Hedgesville, WV, sisters, Anita Shelton and Machalle Schleuss both of Hedgesville, WV. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Johnnie Shelton, David Shelton and Tommy Shelton and sister Jenny Shelton. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Private interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Greencastle.
