Stephen "Jack" J. Helman

Stephen “Jack” J. Helman, age 66, of Gardners, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021 at his home. He was born Saturday, June 26, 1954 in Carlisle, the son of Dorothy Jean (Cashman) Helman of York Springs and the late Guy R. Helman. Jack graduated from Bermudian Springs High School in 1973. He attended Shippensburg State College. He was formerly employed by Dr. Pepper/Snapple for 15 years. He had also worked at Inland Container for 28 years. He was a member of Great Conewago Presbyterian Church in Hunterstown. He loved to golf and ran several marathons throughout his life. He and his wife enjoyed horseback riding together. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Joan M. (Schricker) Helman. He is also survived by one sister, Sandy and husband Joe Forsythe of York Springs; step-sister Ellen Harrish of Lancaster and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his half-sister Linda Goodyear. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main Street, Bendersville.
