Sterling E. Birgensmith, Jr.

Sterling E. Birgensmith, Jr., age 56, of Gettysburg, passed away August 17, 2022 at Genesis Healthcare. He was born July 14, 1966 in Gettysburg, a son of Sterling E. Sr., and Lucille F. (Grosholz) Birgensmith. Sterling grew up in the United Methodist Church and sang in the choir. He enjoyed playing poker, bowling, fishing, baking cookies and listening to loud music. He is survived by his mother, daughter, Danielle Birgensmith and significant other, Christopher Palmer, grandchildren; Makayla Palmer, Trinity Smith, Nova Palmer and Nathan Palmer to be born in October. He is also survived by his brothers, Kerry Birgensmith, Kevin Birgensmith and wife, Angie and Michael Birgensmith, sister, Kelly Alderfer and husband, Fred and numerous nieces and nephews. Sterling was preceded in death by his father, daughter, Samantha Birgensmith and grandson, Jayden. Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 S. Main Street, Bendersville. At Sterling’s request, there will be no Viewing or Services. Sterling will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.
