Steven Wilmore Tuckey

Steven Wilmore Tuckey, age 69, of Biglerville, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2024 in Pittsburgh, during the family’s move to western PA. He was born September 3, 1954, in Adams County. He was a son of the late Wilmore and Jean B. (Baumgardner) Tuckey.

Steve was formerly employed as an orchard farmer for Bear Mountain Orchards, a service instructor for GVM and he drove truck for various companies including L&H, Knouse Foods and Ag-Com. He was a proud member of St James Lutheran Church in Wenksville. Steve loved nature, orchard farming, hunting, driving fast cars and riding his Harley. In later years, Steve enjoyed exploring sites across the country that he had previously passed during his trucking days. The simple pleasures of bird watching, petting his cat, seeing the smiles of his grandchildren, spending quiet time with his wife and an occasional Raiders win, were the highlights of his later days.

He is survived by his wife, Woody Tuckey; children, Joe Kime, Adam Tuckey and Samantha Tuckey Houck; step-children, Charlie Vakiener and Samantha Marchant; sisters, Cynthia Heller and Claudia Spangler and husband, Steve; nieces, Niki Trump and Tracy Spangler and four grandchildren. Steve was preceded in death by his sister, Teresa Tuckey and nephew, Christopher Spangler.

Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 S. Main Street, Bendersville. Friends are invited to a Graveside Service at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Bendersville Cemetery, Cemetery Lane, Bendersville, PA 17306. Reverend Susan Scott will officiate the services.
