Joann B. Day

Joann B. Day, 92, peacefully departed this world on March 25, 2026. Born on September 22, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Clarence E. Blocher and Mae M. (Hoffman) Blocher.

For many years, Joann worked at Rice Fruit Company as a bookkeeper. However, in her later years she worked for Dr. Tina McBeth also as a bookkeeper. She enjoyed spending time with her loving family.

Joann is survived by one son, Gary Day and his wife, Susan; one brother, Donald E. Blocher; five grandchildren Heidi (Joe), Justin, Jared (Alicia), David (Devin), Daniel (Melissa); five great-grandchildren Joshua, Lucas, Annalie, Cooper and Andrew; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, L Corman Day Jr., she was preceded in death by two sons, Jeffrey L. Day and Larry E. Day, sister Virginia Harbold and brother Gerald Blocher.

Professional services have been entrusted to Dugan Funeral & Cremation, Ltd. 111 S. Main Street in Bendersville. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2026 at 3:00 PM at Uriah Church Cemetery, 925 Goodyear Rd., Gardners, Pennsylvania 17324 with Pastor Craig Loewen officiating. Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects.
