Shippensburg, Pennsylvania

Suzanne Holtry, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 in Shippensburg, PA. She was 54 years old.

She was born on August 15, 1972, in Chambersburg, PA, a daughter to Charles and Arlene (Clark) Pollock. Sue grew up with a strong sense of family and loyalty. She was married to Terry Lee Holtry on September 9, 2017, in Surfside Beach, South Carolina. Together, they shared a life built on deep love and adoration, enjoying each other’s peaceful company & quiet morning coffees, and a shared love for beach trips to South Carolina – with so many other special adventures in between.

Sue was the proud mother of three children: Seth (Jacquelyn) Flagle, Brandy Lynn Foster—who preceded her in death in 2025—and Brayton Stouffer. She cherished her role as “Gigi” to Seth’s son, Kailer Flagle, who brought her tremendous joy and pride. She also embraced her role as bonus Mom to Terry’s daughters, Natalee (Trey) Piper and Raychael Holtry (Carter), loving them wholeheartedly as part of her family, and greatly looking forward to her first Holtry/Piper grandchild in 2027.

A defining part of Sue’s life was her unwavering dedication to Brandy. She was not only a loving mother, but also Brandy’s lifelong caregiver—devoted, attentive, and steadfast. Suzanne gave herself fully to ensuring Brandy’s comfort, happiness, and dignity, meeting every challenge with extraordinary strength and tenderness. Her devotion was a profound expression of her character, and it remains one of the most beautiful legacies she leaves behind.

She is survived by her mother, Arlene, her brother Charlie/Chuck Pollock (Angie), and her sister Trudy Gilbert (Wayne). She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Pollock, whose memory she carried with her throughout her life.

Sue also shared a close bond with her extended Holtry family. She is lovingly remembered by her brothers‑in‑law, Randy (Joey) Holtry and Stephen (Kye) Holtry, whose kindness, love, and presence meant a great deal to her. Sue also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart. She took great pride in their accomplishments, supported them through life’s challenges, and celebrated their milestones with her “Sue-prises”. Her love for them was constant and unconditional, and they will forever remember her kindness, silly humor, and the way she made every one of them feel cherished.

Sue’s life was marked by compassion, strength, and an unwavering dedication to those she loved. She faced life’s challenges with courage and grace, and she gave generously—whether through her time, her kindness, or her steady presence. Her family was her greatest joy, and she poured her heart into nurturing and supporting them.

Those who knew Sue will remember her gentle but strong spirit, her nurturing nurse instincts, and the way she made others feel seen and cared for. Her legacy lives on in the family she cherished and in the countless lives she touched. Sue also leaves behind a small circle of cherished best friends who stood by her through every season of life. Their love, loyalty, and companionship meant the world to her, and the bond they shared was one of her greatest sources of strength and joy.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved — a steady, loving force whose absence leaves a space that can never be filled.
