Sylvia A. Leatherman

Sylvia A. Leatherman, age 70 of Chambersburg, died Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Shore Medical Center, Somers Point, New Jersey. She was born Friday, November 28, 1941 in Milton, the daughter of the late Merrill W. and Gertrude F. (Young) Buehler. Sylvia graduated from Milton High School. She was formerly employed by Letterkenny Army Depot for 18 years. She owned and operated Canine Cuts pet grooming in Chambersburg for 10 years. She was a member of Bethel Assembly of God in Chambersburg, Her husband John D. Leatherman died March 15, 2011. She is survived by two sisters: Catherine S. Buehler of Waynesboro and Barbara A. Buehler of Ocean City, NJ and one brother: Merrill Buehler of Milton; several nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Sweetie. She was predeceased by two brothers, Michael G. and John J. Buehler. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Memorial services will be held Saturday December 8, at 1:00 PM at Bethel Assembly of God, 400 Miller Street, Chambersburg, with Reverend Garry Kipe officiating. Interment will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 2325 Country Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
