Sylvia J. Kazimer

Sylvia J. Kazimer, age 89 of Shippensburg died on Monday, May 2, 2011at her home surrounded by her children. She was born Saturday, September 3, 1921 in Shippensburg, the child of the late John andNellie (Halter) Maley. Sylvia was employed for 34 years at SKF Industries as a Quality Inspector. She was a member of American Legion Post 223 Ladies Auxiliary of Shippensburg and VFW Post 6070 Ladies Auxiliary of Newville. Sylvia's husband, John A. Kazimer preceded her in death in 1974. She is survived by her two daughters: Betty J. Kazimer, Shippensburg, Jocelyn (Rosemarie Kazimer) Lawton-Johnson and husband Eric of Saint Paul Park, MN; two sons: John R. "Bobby" and Richard E. Kazimer, both of Shippensburg; nieces Pat Maley Myers, Shippensburg and Linda Maley Fohringer, Newville and nephew John F. Maley, Shippensburg. She was also preceded in death by her brother,Ernest Maley. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory. Funeral Services will be held 12 noon on Thursday, May 5, at Ridge Church of the Brethren, 1095 Ridge Road, Shippensburg with Brother Earl Stovall officiating. A viewing and visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until time of services. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.
