Tammy S. Defenderfer

Tammy Sue Defenderfer, age 49 of Chambersburg, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Chambersburg Hospital. She was born Tuesday, December 15, 1964 in Waynesboro, the child of the late John Henry and Mabel Gladys (Kirkpatrick) Helsley. Tammy graduated from Chambersburg Senior High School in 1983. She was employed by Sheetz for 26 years. She liked to read, watch television and go to yard sales. She is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Terry E. Defenderfer Jr., sister, Robin L. Cook, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Bonnie Burgenstock. Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 10 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Gary Kipe officiating. A viewing will be held on Monday, June 9 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory. Interment will be in Salem Cemetery.
