Thelma J. Diller

In loving memory of Thelma J. Diller, age 88 years, 27 days of Shippensburg, passed away May 6, 2023 at home. She was born April 9, 1935 in Chambersburg to the late John and Lizzie (Frey) Crider. Thelma enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and reading. She was associated with her husband in Volunteer Services work.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Mahlon R. Diller, whom she married June 26, 1954; 5 daughters, Sheryl Lahdu of Shippensburg, Wilma (Harlin) Hege of Shippensburg, Joy (Dallas) Martin of Shippensburg, Karla (Arlin) Wadel of Shippensburg and Brenda (Clyde) Lehman of Chambersburg; 1 son, M. Roger Diller of Shippensburg; 36 grandchildren; 74 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Janet Crider. Thelma was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Lynn Martin; 2 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 3 brothers, Lester Crider, Harold Crider and J. Eldon Crider and 2 sisters, Leona Showalter and Elinor Showalter.

Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 10, at Rowe Mennonite Church, 754 Pinola Rd., Shippensburg, with the Church Ministry officiating. Interment will be in Rowe Mennonite Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 9 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm and then on Wednesday from 9:00 am until time of services.
