Thelma E. Griffie

Thelma E. Griffie, 79, of York Springs died Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at her home. She was born Saturday, January 2, 1932 in York Springs the daughter of the late Bryan J. and Mary M. (Griest) Griffie. Thelma graduated from York Springs High School in 1948. Shewas retired from Adams County National Bank. She was a member of Heidlersburg United Brethren in Christ Church in Heidlersburg. She is survived bythreebrothers: Harold, Biglerville,Edgar, Dillsburg and James Griffie, York Springs and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Bryan Richard, William and Robert Griffie. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 South Main St., Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, May 16 at the Heidlersburg United Brethren in Christ Church, Gettysburg, with Rev. Craig Loewen officiating. Interment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in York Springs.A viewing will be held on Sunday, May15 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Dugan Funeral Home and on Monday from 9:30 AM until time of services at the church.
