Thelma Mae (Slaybaugh) Stoner, 75, formerly of Aspers died Monday, May 24, 2010 at Golden Living in Gettysburg. She was born Wednesday, August 1, 1934 in Butler Township, Adams County a daughter of the late John E. and Anna (Wasynica) Slaybaugh. Thelma graduated from Biglerville High School in 1952. She was formerly employed by Knouse Foods Peach Glen as a seasonal employee for many years and by Duffy Motts for 8 years. She was a member of Mt. Olivet Church in Guernsey and had attended the Church of God in Mt. Holly Springs. She is survived by her husband Charles W. Stoner to whom she was married for 23 years, but they were together for 50 years. She is also survived by a sister, Mary L. Green of Gettysburg and one brother, Gerald Slaybaugh, Farmington, New Mexico. She was preceded in death by a brother John E. Slaybaugh and a half-brother Harry Carbaugh. Professional services are being handled by Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., 111 S. Main Street, Bendersville. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 28, at the Dugan Funeral Home, Inc., Bendersville with the Reverend William L. Richwine officiating. Interment will be in Upper Bermudian Church Cemetery. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 PM until time of services.
