Theodore John Sobota

Theodore John Sobota of Naples, FL, age 75, formerly of Biglerville, PA passed away October 29, 2016 at Hospice in Naples, with his wife at his side, having completed his last flight. He was born in Browerville, MN on November 27, 1940. He retired in 2000 as a captain of United Airlines to continue his joy with pride in his sideline, Clear Spring Orchard. He was a member of the Biglerville Lions Club, having served as president one year. He also had served as a Scoutmaster. For two years he had served in the National Guard. In Naples he had volunteered for the Equestrian Challenge, the Botanical Gardens and the Gulf Coast Sailing Club. As a member of the Audubon Society he enjoyed birding. He is survived by his wife Carol, 72, three sons: Bret and wife Loris of Mechanicsburg, Darren and wife Judy of Milford, DE and Justin and wife Lisa of Middletown, MD, grandchildren, Jedrik, Janalee, Jacek, Nicholas, Benjamin, Sophi, Connor and Samuel. One of ten children, he was predeceased by sister, Annie Budin and Carolyn Tastad and a brother, Pat. He is survived by six siblings, Jim, Barbara, John, Mary Ebnet, Margaret Chyba, Jo Rosen and Mike. A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Dugan Funeral Home, 111 S. Main Street, Bendersville. A memorial service will be announced at a later time.
